A military M65 jacket, redesigned for a woman. We kept everything that makes it iconic – the strong silhouette, epaulettes and four large pockets – then reworked the proportions and construction our way. Wear it loose and slightly masculine, or use the hidden internal drawstring to cinch the waist. This collector’s jacket looks especially good from the back, where “Made in Warsaw” appears in Paweł Swanski’s distinctive hand. It looks like a brushstroke, but is actually an incredibly precise piece of embroidery. Stitching a single inscription takes around an hour and a half, while preparing the machine takes another four hours. The special thread contains 50% wool, giving the embroidery a soft feel and a completely different texture from typical machine embroidery. And there’s one more detail you can barely see, but which says a lot about how this jacket is made: there’s no overlocking inside. The seams are concealed and beautifully finished, with the kind of precision we know from the finest Italian brands. Because even a military jacket can be made like a little piece of tailoring.
